Worship Leader – Roseville

Title: Worship Leader — Roseville
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Employment Status: Full Time, Exempt
Summary of Position: Lead and oversee Roseville Worship Ministries.
Imperatives:
- Be a Holy Spirit-filled person who expresses their spiritual gifts in worship.
- Plan, organize, and lead inviting worship that seeks the Holy Spirit’s presence, giving all honor, praise, and glory to the living God (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit).
- Identify, orient, and develop musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders in all age demographics.
- Meet weekly with Senior Pastor for worship planning, including a rolling overview for the next six to twelve months to include special services.
- Be willing to explore and create new opportunities for congregational involvement and growth.
- Organize and lead the Roseville worship team and coordinate with the technical personnel including lights, sound, and audio visual to create a seamless worship experience.
- Work collaboratively with the worship leader at Arden Hills.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Worship Ministry preferred, or equivalent of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, including traditional and ancient hymns to modern praise and worship music. Experience in leading Spirit-filled worship.
Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
Leadership:
- Lead the congregation to grow spiritually through worship.
- Select worship music with lyrics that are Biblically sound, and that focus on God the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit – in contrast to musically-pleasing songs that may not.
- Partner with the Arden Hills worship leader, while maintaining and growing the uniqueness of the Roseville campus.
- Advance the quality of the Roseville worship services in person and on line.
- Raise up and develop musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, that further the vision of North Heights.
- Schedule worship team and musicians.
- Organize and communicate clearly and consistently.
- Collaborate with other North Heights staff as necessary to successfully execute and perform your positional duties.
- Recruit and supervise volunteers to seasonally decorate the Roseville campus.
Vision:
- Create an inviting, worshipful atmosphere in which a growing number of people can meet with God and experience the presence of the Holy Spirit.
- Allow room for the Holy Spirit to lead during worship through singing in the Spirit, waiting on the Lord, and praising God.
Accountability:
- Attend staff meetings and Worship Planning meetings.
- Establish and manage measurable quarterly goals that are in alignment with our vision.
- Adhere to staff core values.
- Adhere to the Constitution and Bylaws of North Heights and its Biblical beliefs.
Financial and Organizational:
- Develop and manage the Roseville worship ministries budget.
- Ensure compliance with all required licensing and reporting requirements.
Experience:
- Skilled instrumentalist and vocalist.
- Prior experience in church or parachurch worship ministry.
- Experience in training, managing, and developing other worship leaders.
- Basic knowledge of worship-related technology including sound, video, lights, audio recording and editing overhead projection and Live-stream to create a seamless worship experience.
- Competence in Planning Center and ProPresenter
